Multiple news from events
16th March 2020
I have been a bit lax over the last month or so and haven’t put in News of all my visits so here is a compendium.
31st January, a great Owl Prowl at Eastwood Farm in conjunction with Birds of Prey Discovery. Good evening lots of Tawny Owls heard and a few seen.
18th February, I gave an afternoon talk to Horfield United Reform Church after school club, where we had a lot of interest in our birds on their Harry Potter themed afternoon.
25th February, a return visit to Easton CE Academy to give an owl-themed illustrated and practical talk with Loki to enhance the Poem being studied i.e. The Owl and the Pussy Cat.
12th March, again with Birds of Prey Discovery a return visit to a lovely Brownie group 16th Longwell green Brownies who as ever were a wonderful crowd to talk to and demonstrate the flying prowess of a Barn Owl and Kestrel.
15th March, a lovely afternoon spent giving a talk to the Wiltshire Tortoligy Group, where despite the Corvid-19 virus the talk went ahead with all the suitable precautions and proved to be a great success. For this little lad the first time he had got up close and personal to an owl, Loki the barn Owl.
