Owl Occasions at Bristol University

Loki and I had a great time meeting 5 different schools at Bristol University Biosciences lab. Loki flew well and decided to sit in the limelight to see what we had learnt about!
The students from the schools learnt why an owl pellet is formed, how it is formed and what it contains. They also were told about the special senses and abilities of an owl allowing them to catch prey in near darkness. We also discussed the requirements of the prey species and the environmental effects being placed on them by habitat loss.
