OO leads a Dawn Chorus Walk at Lincombe Barn

30th April 2022
Whilst waiting for the group to gather a rather friendly Fox decided to walk up to within 15 feet of us and give us the once over in the light of the street lamps. Once he/she had decided we had no food it left us to go on its morning rounds.
Once we had all gathered the walk commenced and we were welcomed by a cacophony of bird songs. These included Robin, Blackbird, Great tit, drumming woodpeckers, collared doves, woodpigeons, Blackcaps and more. The pleasant walk down the path beside the stream led us down to the River Frome where the path ended and we made a slow relaxed walk in the reverse direction to the car park and home for a hearty breakfast.
Once the light became brighter the bird song decreased and just the pigeons and Blackbirds continued with their crooning and song.
